Perhaps one of the biggest expenses that students incur is buying textbooks. You can save a lot of money by buying second-hand textbooks. Buying used textbooks will cut your school supply costs in half. There are many ways to get used textbooks. College bookstores often sell used textbooks. It is also a good idea to keep your eyes open around campus for flyers advertising used book sales by older student, so you can get lower price than on bookstores.

Buy used dorm room items
For dorm room items, check the college bulleting boards to purchase used refrigerators, desk lamps, and other small appliances.

Use credit card wisely
A lot of college students are lured by special credit card offers. SO it is a good idea to avoid credit card or get a low credit limit on your credit card so you’re not tempted to overcharge.
