If your water bill seem really high compared to what your friends pay, and you know that you are not taking hour-long showers every morning, there could be a mistake in your bill or a leak in your pipes.
Replace old toilet
If you currently have an older, less-efficient toilet, you may want to consider switching to one of the newer water-saving models.
Install water-harvesting system
A water-harvesting system can reduce your water bill, especially if the water is not needed for drinking. Place a rain barrel under your gutters to collect the runoff and use it to wash your car, rinse dirt off your sidewalk or front porch, and water your garden during dry spells.
