Save Money on School Supplies

In addition to household expenses, parent must provide for the children’s school supplies, school uniforms, and other accessories. There are several ways you can try to save money on school supplies.

Make a list
Before going out and buying children brand new school supplies, you should make a list what is usable and leftover from the previous school year. So you can avoid wasting money on a bunch of things you will probably not even need.

Shop early
It is a good idea to buy school supplies at least two months before school starts, and buy enough school supplies to last the year. By shop early, you can get lower price.

Buying school supplies in bulk
Buy in bulk to save money, especially for special items such as paper, pens, pencils, folders, and CDs.

Buy used textbook
You should attempt to purchase used textbooks when they are available.
